The Tallis Scholars

The relatively minor Feast of the Crown of Thorns - honouring a relic of the Crucifixion - prompted from John Taverner, one of the most grandly sonorous English Masses of the Renaissance. The Tallis Scholars place a complete performance of the Mass in context with gems by two other major composers from this glorious period in English church music; Cornysh and White.
