Alexandre Tharaud signs to Virgin Classics
VIRGIN CLASSICS HAS ANNOUNCED THAT IT HAS SIGNED AN EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT WITH FRENCH PIANIST ALEXANDRE THARAUD.
Tharaud, who recently appeared in Muso's G spot
section, is quickly becoming a household name on the piano circuit,
receiving particular acclaim for his interpretations of Bach,
Chopin and Couperin.
His first album - Journal Intime - will be released in the
UK in February next year. It will comprise a number of works by
Chopin, whose 200th anniversary falls in 2010.
