German-born, fiery South American-blooded cellist Claudio
Bohórquez has performed all over the world, from symphony
concerts in Europe to cross-art fusions in the Americas.
Since winning first prize in the Geneva International Music
Competition just over a decade ago, he has been on a winning
streak. One of his major successes was being invited to join the
BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme between 2002 and 2004.
His numerous appearances around Europe in recent years have also
coincided with a prolific recording output. What a busy boy!
