Canadian Ehnes' onstage magnetism, brilliant technical control
and all-round musicality have earned him an international
following.
Born in Manitoba, James began studying the violin at four, made his
orchestral debut at 13 and graduated from Juilliard School in 1997
with the Peter Mennin Prize for outstanding achievement and
leadership in music.
Eclectic as he is attractive, Ehnes' lustrous tone is aided by
a great piece of kit: a 1715 Stradivarius on extended loan from the
Fulton Collection.
