Biography
Achilleas (1978) is a Greek - born musician. He has written music for orchestra, film, theatre, dance, installations, websites etc. His work has been performed in Greece, UK, Spain, USA, Venezuela and has attracted the attention of people such as celebrated composer and former Greek Secretary of Culture, Thanos Mikroutsikos.
As a solo / group performer on flute, alto/tenor sax and keys, he has worked with various jazz, funk, world music groups, orchestras and ensembles in the UK, China, Ireland, Norway and Greece. His appearances include the Royal Albert Hall, The jazz Cafe, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Edinburgh Castle, as well as numerous jazz bars, restaurants boats and other venues. He currently freelances as a wind and piano player, mainly in jazz and latin, as well as composing for various media, especially theatre. He releases his music through e-soundscapes, a music production collective that he co-founded in 2006.
